What Can MRV do for your customers?

MRV provides wave division multiplexing technology which gives users the ability to expand the capacity of existing fibre optic infrastructure by enabling simultaneous transmission of information over multiple wavelengths on the same fibre optic strand. This enables customers to greatly increase the capacity of their existing infrastructure without having to go through the expensive process of re-cabling entire sites.

MRV can also supply the switching, routing, and console management equipment used in voice, data, and video traffic by carriers, data centers, and labs. Its specialized networking products are extensively utilized in the Aerospace and Defence markets.

In addition, MRV Communication provides remote network management solutions that allow users and network administrators to control network elements remotely, including most types of network equipment, alarm and temperature sensors and power supply. These can be especially useful in large companies and organisations where hardware is deployed over a large area.

• An optical communication technology that uses lasers to transmit data between two points
• Can transmit data at Fast Ethernet or Gigabit Ethernet speeds - up to 40 Gb
• Used in metropolitan and campus networks, universities, government buildings where networks are spread over several buildings that are within sight of each other

• Enables transmission of information over multiple wavelengths on the same fibre optic strand
• Enables customers to greatly increase the capacity of their existing fibre optic cable infrastructure
• Saves having to go through the expensive process of re-cabling entire sites
