Coyote Point Systems’ SSL Acceleration Solution Wins 2011 Golden Bridge Award

August 18, 2011 - Coyote Point Systems, a leading provider of application delivery and acceleration solutions, has earned the prestigious Golden Bridge Awards title for innovation in SSL acceleration solutions. The coveted annual Golden Bridge Awards program encompasses the world’s best products and programs from every major industry in the world. Winners were honored in New York on Wednesday, August 10, 2011 during the 3rd annual awards dinner and presentations.

Coyote Point’s Xcel^TM is a dedicated hardware based SSL co-processor built into Coyote Point’s Equalizer E450GX and E650GX Application Delivery Controllers. Xcel’s custom encryption offload hardware handles the CPU-intensive SSL handshake and encryption process, enabling Equalizer and servers to perform better and more reliably. This purpose-built security accelerator ensures peak performance and can handle up to 14,000 HTTPS transactions per second. By consolidating multiple SSL certificates to Equalizer and Xcel, administrators significantly simplify management of their SSL infrastructure. Individual SSL servers no longer need to be maintained and unused certificates become a thing of the past, providing a demonstrable return on investment.

More than 40 judges from a broad spectrum of industry voices from around the world participated and their average scores determined the 2011 Golden Bridge Business Awards winners. The winners were announced during the awards dinner and presentation on August 10, 2011 in New York attended by the finalists, industry leaders, and judges.
