Coyote Point Systems VLB PCE Improves Virtualization Optimization for Private Cloud Computing

New VLB Private Cloud EditionTM enables dynamic provisioning of virtual and physical servers using two-way intelligence.

LAS VEGAS, NV, APRIL 26, 2010—Coyote Point Systems Inc., the leading provider of application delivery and acceleration solutions for the Small to Mid Enterprise, announced today at Interop Las Vegas the release of VLB Private Cloud EditionTM (VLB PCETM), providing IT managers with a tool to automate the dynamic provisioning of both physical and virtual resources in the data center. As more companies look to the cloud as a way to conserve costs, VLB PCETMf adds a new level of control by providing a solution that automates the provisioning and de-provisioning of resources utilizing two-way intelligence. Unlike other application aware devices that simply react to the virtual environment, VLB PCETM uses customized variables to proactively manage the mixed virtual and physical environments within the existing data center.

Private Clouds have emerged as a way for companies to take full advantage of the benefits of the cloud without the risk of sensitive data co-mingling with tenants in other environments. VLB PCETM offers businesses a way to manage a Private Cloud Infrastructure, optimize their environment and derive greater efficiency and cost savings from IT investments. VLB PCETM is a software extension to the Equalizer Series Application Delivery Controller that monitors the application health and performance and provides tools to ensure optimum resource allocation. Enterprises can now maintain control over their sensitive data and automate processes formerly requiring manual intervention for resource optimization. VLB PCETM eliminates the costs and the time that it used to take to build and manage a production-quality private cloud.

“We are extremely excited about the release of Equalizer VLB PCETM at a time when businesses are looking to optimize their virtual infrastructure to deliver mission-critical applications,” said Jim Puchbauer, Director of Marketing for Coyote Point Systems. “VLB PCETM makes the private cloud achievable. Now data centers delivering applications that are not well suited for public clouds can implement a Virtualization strategy that empowers them with a set of optimization and management tools needed to truly reap the benefits of cloud computing.”

VLB PCETM enables businesses to harness the benefits of private clouds by providing customers with more ways to reduce costs and increase data center flexibility. By automating workload distribution across physical resources, VLB PCETM eliminates hotspots and the need to over provision to handle load spikes thus ensuring optimum utilization of Virtual Machines and improved application performance.

Pricing and Availability

VLB PCETM is available for purchase as of June 1, 2010. It comes standard on the Equalizer E650GX and is an optional software module on the Equalizer E350GX and 450GX.
