Miniature Fiber Modems
RAD’s miniature and subminiature fiber modems provide cost-effective and space-saving solutions for local data transmission over fiber optic cables.
Miniature fiber modems usually operate over shorter distances at lower rates (normally up to 19.2 kbps). However, some modems can operate at data rates up to 115.2 kbps in async transmission and up to 128 kbps in sync transmission.
Innovative circuitry on some models enables the modems to operate without an independent power source.
The miniature fiber modems are especially suited for utility and campus applications.

Miniature Copper Modems
RAD’s miniature copper modems are short-range modems for connecting terminals to computers within buildings, campuses and cities.
The miniature copper modems are suitable for a variety of applications, including point-to-point and point-to- multipoint, supporting data rates from 1.2 kbps to 19.2 kbps.
Operating over 4-wire, the miniature copper modems operate on half duplex or full duplex. No external power source is required for the modems.
