Mutiny is a web appliance that uses industry standard SNMP to gather information from IT Infrastructure, process and display the results in a multi-user web front-end that allows administrators and managers alike to quickly asses the health of their estate. The Mutiny Network Services Monitor is a network-monitoring and alerting appliance that combines relevant functionality with Mutiny’s intuitive interface design. Mutiny monitors network traffic, hardware (switches, servers, routers, etc), as well as the processes and applications that are be running (ie. Exchange, IIS, SQL etc). It predicts when failure is likely to occur and alerts any number of people via email, text, pager, or helpdesk when problems are likely to occur.

What can Mutiny Do for your Customers?

Mutiny It is a product designed by Network Administrators with the user in mind. Its role is to offer an uncomplicated solution to everyday problems and it does this by communicating effectively and unambiguously with the Administrator, in advance of network problems. Mutiny has an interactive web-based graphical interface and flexible SMS and Email alert options provide reliable notification of network related problems. Mutiny also has data collection and graphing facilities which allow users to analyse network trends and features rapid methods of discovering networked devices to ensure quick installation and simple configuration.

Monitoring Capabilities:

• ICMP: A simple ping action determines whether the node is responding to network communications
• Interfaces: Monitors utilisation, errors and connectivity on switch and router ports
• SNMP: A poll action determines whether SNMP based data can be retrieved from the node
• Cisco QoS: Manual and “Auto QoS” graphing and alertin
• CPU Load: A measure of how efficiently the node’s processing unit is performing its operations
• Memory Usage: The amount of a node’s total memory capacity in use
• Disk Usage: The amount of a node’s hard disk capacity in use
• Processes: Indicates the state of the processes running on the node
• IP Services: TCP layer tests for application availability
• Remote Agents: Expandability and Customisation inc. Hardware RAID alerts
• Interfaces/Ports: Status, alerting and Graphing of utilisation
• Environmental: CPU, Temperature, Fans and Redundant PSU Status
